Just called Hankook tire in Wayne, NJ ((973) 633-9000) and spoke to someone there. When I asked if any of the tire pressure kits have been mailed, she said 'no'. When I asked when they would be mailed out, she didn't know. I asked a second time when they would be sent and she said, 'maybe soon'.
Not getting a warm, fuzzy feeling from Hankook tire. If they can't even fulfill something that they promote, then what is the quality of the tires they are selling?

Before I called I sent an email also and received the following response:

"Thank you for registering with Hankook’s Be Safe… Air ‘Em UP campaign. I’m sorry that you have not yet received your air pressure kit. Due to overwhelming demand, our inventory has experienced greater than anticipated depletions and therefore production and shipment of the air pressure check kits have been delayed.

Please be assured that we will mail your free air pressure gauge as they become available. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you again for your patience.

Best regards,

Genevieve Lee"

Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Most free promos are 8-12 weeks at best on shipping, nobody is expediting on a free promo.
You guys and gals need to have a little more patience, especially considering the free nature of the promo....

Seriously, it is probably some cheap chinese piece of junk that will stop working within the year anyway. Then I guess we will see all of the post on here kvetching about the cheap chinese junk that did not even last a year even tho it was free.....

I think that the main problem is that there was no communication from Hankook saying that they had even received the request for the kit. Had they emailed back a message saying that they had received the request and it would take 8-12 weeks before it is received, then we wouldn't be having these postings. Since there was no indication of the status of the request, that is when the questions started.

Heck it's a freebe anyway, if it shows up great, if not, nothing is loss.

One is reminded of the saying "beggars can't be choosers".

If it comes, great!

If it doesn't, no big....

Whether or not the promised "Made in India" item arrives begs the point that a lot of very sensitive information was given to this company in exchange for a token. They can target their advertising to folks who use up tires faster than most. Having provided no promise of confidentiality, they can also sell those email and slow mail addresses to anyone with a few bucks at almost no cost to themselves. I will be shocked if anyone actually receives said item. We have been ripped off IMO.

Saw a post on another site where the poster signed up for the gauge and just received it the other day. I guess that they are starting to send them out now and hopefully we'll receive ours soon.
