From Here to Here

My last camping trip was a winter camping trip in WI. I probably will continue to do that but at 60 years old we are ready for an upgrade. Maiden voyage in one week. Looking forward to the next adventure.

I'm 67, and I still do both. I only have a trailer because my wife refused to tent camp with me anymore. I love to backpack, and go where most others can't. I have a friend who took his trailer on our elk hunt, and his water froze the first night. I have a wall tent with a wood stove, and it is very comfortable in cold weather. I do like the trailer better when the wind is blowing 50 mph. You miss out on so much of the adventure with a trailer. On our sheep hunt in Feb. my son-in-laws tent tore loose from the floor of the tent and blew away. As I was trying to get dressed, my sleeping bag blew away. You just don't get that kind of fun in a trailer.
