I would LOVE to be able to do that, but I don't think my boss would be very happy.

Yeah, I'm envious too. I'd love to be able to break out for a whole month.

for all that time you must be in your retirement. I wish one day I will have more time for camping. My work is taking all my life away.

Does it still count if for HIM it is working during the days (other than the ones that he takes off) and camping at night, and for ME it's camping 24/7????

Lucky for us the campgrounds is about equal distance from work (sorry for the 4 letter word) as home is but in the other direction.

Last word I've heard is that they are closing Nov. 1, 2011 for repairs to the septic system overhaul. AND I've heard that they are for the moment not planning on reopening till MAY 15, 2012!!! That will kill me!

BUT I'm hoping and praying that something will come up and that things will change on the reopening date. If it holds that is past the date for the "Dulcimer Gathering" that we hold on Mother's Day Weekend. So for now I'm not sure what is going on.

I'm hoping that they will update with correct information on the Campgrounds site. SOON! People make plans way in advance and right now there is nothing up there. Or there wasn't the last time I looked. May be now.
