Furnace operation question

Is it common to have room temp air coming out of top round air vents and A/C unit vent when the furnace is running and warm air coming out of floor vents? I have both at same time...

It's certain one of the most "common" questions on these fora. Just set you Fan to "Auto" and it will stop doing that.

Thnx folks. New learning curve here with this rig. Appreciate the help. While I am on the topic of newbie questions, the on/off switch on back of water heater, keep "off" when using electricity and "on" otherwise?

Electric Switch on when on shore power.
Gas on when no shore power available.
Or
Gas and electric can both be used when you need to recover faster while taking showers.
Or individually if you wish.

Make sure you have water in the water heater before turning the switch to on.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!! Make sure the switch is OFF before you drain the water from the WH tank and before you put it into storage. If you don't do this, you'll plug into shore power next time and burn out that heating element in about 8 seconds. There has to be water in the tank whenever that switch is on.
