Furrion Camera bad, just 3 yrs. No replacement.

3 yrs ago, bought a new travel trailer and a new furrion back up camera system since they put Furrions mount on my trailer at the dealers. 3yrs later,, camera lense is shot. Lense chrylized so it cant focus and everything is blurry. So after many back and forth E mails to Furrion,,they finally tell me that there is no replacement camera to work with my"still Good" monitor. I will not pay another $500.00 dollars,,,to them for a replacement system. I know the warranty ran out but thought this was a strange defect. Even offered to send it to them to see it. No response on that part. So here I am ,,left out in the cold with a unreliable product which they don't want to deal with. Have not found any other brands that will fit in that mount on my trailer. Just want to make everyone aware that what"I" thought was a long term reliable addition to my rig, is not so true. Sorry ,,,I'am not spending 500 bucks every three years for this product.

Same thing here. 3 years old and lens is shot. Tried cleaning it and put it in rice to see if it was moisture. No luck. I'm going to try some headlight polish next...seems to work for some people (based on a few Google searches).

Less than half the price and you can install a better system like Haloview. Forget Furrion. They put that mount on to make you think you have to get a Furrion.

***I think Haloview now makes a mount that fits furrion sharkfin. Even if they don't, that mount easily comes off and is replaceable with their mount. I too, initially kept thinking I need to use their proprietary mount. Not so.

Headlight polish worked some on my camera. Still a little blurred but useable!

My Haloview is into 3rd season and is fine. But mine is parked in driveway with back end pointed North for 11 of the 12 months I don't use it. Maybe sunlight is degrading it. If it is facing sun all the time, maybe hang a rag or something over it.
