Furrion door security camers

I am planning on buying a forest river 2506S that has the furrion pre-wired. I would like to install a camera over the door and wired into somewhere that would be a hot connection to Use as a security camera from inside the trailer. The only thing I can think of is to wire to the yellow entrance light That would have a on off switch from inside the camper. Any ideas?

Don't fall into the Furrion trap. There are better cameras out there at a fraction of the price, that also have adaptors to attach to the Furrion pre-wiring. As for security cams, I would go with a battery powered cam like an Arlo Pro or Ring cam. I considered getting a cam for the blind spots outside my trailer, which is to the front of my trailer. My rear cam is wired to Furrion wiring, which requires the marker lights to be on, which I won't do because I abhor people that keep their rigs lit up all night.

OP the furrion is a good system. If your tt is prewired for the camera, all you have to do is plug and play. Our Cedar Creek came with the system and the camera was mounted on the back of the tt already. We have a 2020 2500 and it has a camera system for it. I took the camera off the back and mounted it at the door. Our 38DBRK had the mounts and is powered by 12 volt system continuously. If yours have the mount on the back and the door I would think yours would be like ours.
