Gas Monkey Strange RV For Sale

Don't know if any of you watch the show on Discovery, but for some reason I went to their website to see if they had cars for sale....found this RV related combo.

1970 Ford Other Pickups --

Pretty Cool.

Way cool. I bet when the guy from roadside assistance shows up to change a tire, he has a small stroke. LOL...

It looks like something a traveling carnival worker would own.

Not a pickup and not gasoline powered!

I'd love to see some interior pictures of it. It sure would turn some heads, but would be a nightmare to maintain! I'm sure it has string-wound axles, etc.!

Storage compartment? What can you see that I cannot. I see an open storage compartment but rims? Do you mean wheel rims?

Pretty sure its a Gasser. I spent much of my youth as a vol. fireman, and we had a C800 Ford Pumper like that with a big 537 Ford gas motor. In fact, diesel c-series were pretty rare till the early-80s. Yep, I said 80's. Those things were in production virtually unchanged till 1990!

If you want to see a few pictures of the interior, here's a link, but... Don't say I didn't warn you. The 70's were a different time.

If I had time, money and a place to put it that would keep me busy for a while making updated mods.

Only deadly to those who don't know how to mount a tire correctly. I have a certain affection for split rims and 5 spoke Dayton hubs. I cut my teeth on them.

Having said that, I think Gas Monkey can keep their carnival on wheels.... Not for me.

The first motorhome I ever saw, was when a neighbor took a 1959 Cadillac and cut an Airstream TT and mounted it to the frame. We were cool rolling down the highway in Ohio !!

If you don't cage a bud, they go off too. I'm retired and don't fiddle with them anymore.

jogging my feeble memory, I seem to remember a childhood bud with a Caddilac Hearse converted into a camper... That was styling.
