Just wondering about permantly mounting my Yamaha 3000 in my front compartment on my silverback 33rl. Or do most guys take it out when they want to use it

Teejay, unless the compartment is sealed and designed and vented for generator use, I would remove it from the compartment to use it. Also the exhaust would need to be routed from the compartment to the outside so carbon monoxide won't enter the camper. Just my 2 cents worth.

I would never run a generator in any portion of an RV/TT that was not designed to be mounted internal and properly installed. The risk is way to great.
