Just a note that most USACE campgrounds will close at the latest Ocotober 16 on Lake Lanier in North Georgia. Check Army corp Mobile District schedule. Forsyth county Parks and Recreation operates the Shady Grove campground on Lake Lanier and they will be open until I believe December 15 and Reopen on the First of the year. My understanding is that they will be offering Discount of Half Price for Sunday night through Thursday night camping. Check out the Forsyth county Parks and Rec website for details. Also check on Recreation Gov for your online reservations Just a reminder for those of you who want to enjoy some fall camping on the Lake....
