Get your LED Christmas lites at Home Depot

No I don't work for them!!
We recently dry camped for 3 days and on a whim, I checked
Home Depot for some LED light strings.
They now have 18' LED 110v lights in white and blue and
maybe multi color.
They cost $8 per string.
They draw something like 4 watts per string!!!
That's less than one bulb on an incandescent string.
I plugged in my little inverter and ran 2 strings of blue
LED lights which we hung in the trees around our site.

We were the only folks in the crowded CG with lights and the
blue looked totally neat!! It was just enough illumination
to walk around our site but not enough to ruin your night
vision or annoy the neighbors.

Note-- they also had some battery powered LED strings but I
did not check them out.
It's possible you could buy those and rig them to run directly
off your 12v power and not need an inverter.
They are likely 3 volt (2 AA or D batteries) and you could
possibly hook up 4 sets in series to get the needed 12v draw
or you could connect one or two with a resistor.
I'll leave that part up to the engineers in the group!

Happy Camping!

While I don't really need a set of LED Christmas lights...

There are often a number of RV adaptable products at Home Depot and other traditional stores and at online outllets. When I find a good deal on something interesting I like to post about it.

Thus far, from Home Depot:

Awning Rope Lights for $10
A knock off Mr. Buddy heater for $40
A small HEPA filter, just right for the trailer, $40
25ft white water hose, about $15
A Weber "Smokey Joe" BBQ grill, under $30

Not to mention duct tape, WD40, Great Stuff, and on and on.
