It is not a self cleaning planet.

Think of the natural functions of your body, then think of over 400,000,000 years of other animal life doing the same thing. Then walk down to that stream barefoot and take a drink. Walk down to that sea shore barefoot and hop right in.

Ever wonder how it got to be so salty???

The ice caps at the north pole and the south pole are vast amounts of fresh water. They are disappearing rapidly... disintegrating entirely before your very eyes, if you care to really look. THAT is the effect of global warming. Not the little occasional blurb of localized snowfall.
It is the hurricanes carrying more moisture than they have ever carried before. That moisture increases AIR DENSITY which adds more punch to a 100mph wind than a 100mph wind without as much moisture.

It is the reduction in the natural barriers that hold the cold polar air in check and allow it to travel south in bursts. Guess what it is replaced with: WARMER AIR. What does that warmer air do?

The question is not whether global warming is occurring or not. The question is can Homo Sapiens Sapiens do anything about it.

As opposed to the OP’s cold weather in the middle of winter? The key word with Australia was “record.”

400 million years ago the planet was changing...and man had nothing to do with it.

It was the lack of the EPA back then to control dinosaur farts and cap those volcanoes........

The site team wishes to commend the members who were able to keep this topic going for as long as they did, but unfortunately there are some who almost seem to want to get it locked down with their posts against the site guidelines. We have done our last cleanup of this thread and are locking it to future posts, as it's becoming too burdensome and time consuming to keep doing such.
