Gobble Gobble - Thanksgiving Campouts Anyone?

Let's hear who is headed out camping for the holiday! I'll start:

We are headed to the coast again for Thanksgiving, this will be our 4th year. Ourselves and 3 other families reserved sites at Fort Stevens State Park in OR. Its a great place with plenty to do for the kids and the grown ups alike. Full services and close to the beach. Deep fried turkey, all the fix'n's and plenty of firewood. Day after thanksgiving, instead of Black Friday Sales (better deals online anyway), the men folk head out crabbing at the mouth of the Columbia (limit out each time). Saturday night we take the kids clam digging. Some beach walks and geocaching in between.

I have spent the last weeks free time knocking out a good portion of my long time 'wants' in RV Mods (pictures to come soon), including: Bunk rails and custom bunk ladder, corner wire shelves, iPod hookup for Concertone stereo, PS2 wireless controllers, shower soap dispenser, fishing rod/ paddle holder, tornado holding tank rinser, dvd storage, etc. I am still awaiting the arrival of my LED light plates, hope they come in before we pull out this week. Off to change the oil in the tow rig and the rest of the vehicles, then I should have Sunday free to watch football!

Happy and Safe Travels this Holiday Everyone.

Oh, that's a great park. Our favorite on the OR coast is Nehalem bay at Manzanita. Wished we could be out for T-day but as it is every year I will at work making sure that all those that are flying somewhere for their holiday are getting there safely. Oh well, we have a potluck every year here at work so at least I get fed.

Enjoy the holidays no matter where you are, I'll be working.....

We are taking two of the younger granddkids to Dinosaur Valley State Park Friday and Saterday after T-day. It will be the first time for them and DW in the TT. So far it has been just me and idiot dog as DW still works and could not get away, she is retiring in January. Looking forward to that, we have several 1 & 2 week trips planned.

we usually go to Bodega Bay for thanksgiving weekend. but this year we couldnt get in so we are bummed. it is typically our last trip of the season. on the bright side it gives me another weekend to work on the mods I want to do.
