Goodyear endurance st tires

Thinking about up grading to Goodyear endurance tires on my 2014 Rockwood ultra lite 2607. There's no reviews out yet but for my tire size 205 75 14 it seems like this would be a good upgrade of the factory Westlake's. Things I've read that have me wanting to gamble on the new endurance tires are being USA made, load range d from c, n (87 mph) speed rating and seen the goodyears weigh 27 lbs compared to the westlake 18 lbs which would make me believe they aren't as flimsy. Only thing I'm not sure about is if my factory aluminum wheels can handle the higher psi. Only thing I see on them is 2000 max weight. Discount tire has them for $108 a tire then I can save $100 on rebates. Any thoughts or concerns?

Are these the ones now made in the USA? Although I'm an ST tire convert, I'd gladly consider a USA made ST tire. I also think tire weight is a good indicator of build quality and I prefer a heavier tire over a lighter one.

in my experience i have only used Marathons or Sumotomos on trailers. the Endurances you need to be careful with because they are a little harder material which could affect your ride.

Yes they're a brand new tire so I was a little worried about no reviews, but I'll take my chances it seems like the best choice in my tire size. Getting them installed on Thursday.

I upgraded to 15" tires (from 14") on my last TT, and never had another tire problem. So 15" tires on my new TT was a "must have". I also like the availability range in the 15" tire size.

That's what I'll be looking at when I replace tires. If everyone waits to buy until reviews are out I fear they'll put them on clearance and quit making them and then we're back to the cheap junky Chinese tires being the only choice. It is physically impossible for them to be any worse than the Chinese junk, so I don't see what the real risk could possibly be.

I totally agree. When googling I did come across that s.o.b. Teamed up with Goodyear and are going to use these tires on everything.

I looked into 15 inch some. My problem is I can't vary much from my 26 inch tire diameter since my axles are very close together.

Check into Maxxis trailer tires. A bit more expensive, but Maxiss USA will do free shipping directly to you. Cuts costs a bunch. Anyway, I consider them to be the best on the market. We put on four for a 12,000 mile trip from Texas to Alaska and back and had no issues them and for about 20,000 miles after that.

Here's another D load range option in the 205/75/14 size:

Carlisle Brand | Radial Trail HD Tire Information

Been running a set on my utility trailer. Easily obtainable locally for me and reasonable pricing.

Hankook RA08 in 195r14 is load range D, 99 mph, and carries around 2100#; it is a commercial tire like the Goodyear G614

I had Maxxis on the trailer that is being replaced with a new Windjammer. Unfortunately, had complete tread separation on a trip two years ago which also took a chunk of tread out of it's neighbor tire and tore up the metal above the tire...

They were just over 5 years old when this happened so age might have played a factor....

The Goodyear Endurance is going to be my next choice. The 235X80X 16 E is going to cost me $660 with everything at Discount Tire. They say it's an upgrade from the Marathons.
