Gray Water Drain Question

Hi All, i'm new to the forum and new to RVing. Sorry if this is wrong area to post this, but I need some help/advice. Just inherited a 2004 Surveyor Lite 180t. I wasn't given any information on the unit, so I have spent the last few days figuring out all the systems, appliances, etc. Today I decided to de-winterize it and check out the pluming. I hooked up the city water line and started draining some of the faucets. I quickly noticed that water was draining out the bottom of the camper. I went under the camper and saw that the drain for the gray holding tank was just an opene ended pipe. Every RV/Camper I've been around before has the gray water drain connected to the black water drain, with two separate discharge valves. There doesn't appear to be anywhere on the black water drain where the gray water line is supposed to attach. The end of the gray water drain is just an open pipe without any sort of fitting or valve, so I'm not sure how i'm supposed to drain into dump station. See picture below.

Is this common, or does this seem odd? I'm a newbie so please help!

Very odd indeed. Looks like you're missing some pieces parts.

Looks like the valve was removed. It is possible they were seasonal campers or had some kind of make shift drain to allow gray to drain all the time. You can purchase the whole drain assembly and match up the angle. Usually the gray valve is piped into the black so you can flush out the drain hose.
