There's a saying in the military

"We have less fun before sunrise than most people have all day. "

Boondocked last week out in the desert at the 'Howling At The Moon' gathering just outside of Yuma, Arizona...

Took this sunrise shot as the moon was setting early the next morning:

From Eastern shore - Lake Ontario and second shot is from Cole's Creek Campground watching the sun set across the St. Lawrence over Canada (our neighbor to the West in this part of New York).

I think we'll forgive you DBplus4. That's a great shot. I love all the sunrises and sunsets. So much so, I'll post another. This is a sunrise across the Delaware River. Oh, and I wasn't camping for this one either. But what a shot.

That last shot with Godzilla reminded me of this shot I took at a campground near the Royal Gorge in Colorado three years ago...

A new dinosaur museum had just opened up across the road and the sunset happened right behind the large dino in front of the building.

Took this from the entrance steps of my 5'ver:

Is your first shot from Association Island KOA? Looks familiar.

Your Cole’s Creek Campground is one of many many found on both shores of the St. Lawrence where a lot of waterside sites let you watch the Great Lake Freighters cruise slowly by.
Just remember....your money goes 30% further on the other shore with the exchange rate in your favour.

Unfortunately.....not so much for us.

Ken and Terry, 1st shot is from our site at Westcott Beach State. That island in the shot is Association Island. I can spend hours watching the ships go by. Haven't been to Canada in some time. Plan to get back this year now that we have the NY enhanced drivers' licenses (substitute for passport). Spent some of my teen years in Smiths Falls, Ontario.

They say that when you are in Key West, watching the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico to the west, on a clear day, at the last second, when the sun drops below the horizon, there is a flash of green.
