Great Costco inverter generator deal
Just saw this:
A-iPower Powered by Yamaha Inverter Generator
https://www.costco.com/.product.1006...maha_generator
Never seen this 2300w model on wheels. Just the 2000w A-i Power version.

Thats a good deal. Thanks for posting.
If they would have put a 30a R/V receptacle on it instead of the 30a twist-lock, it would be an even better deal!

The picture shows a locking 30A receptacle (L5-30R). That’s a good price for an inverter generator with a Yamaha motor.

look at the accessories picture and you will find an additional adapter 30Amp RV plug to the locking plug...

It uses the same 79 cc Yamaha licensed engine from China and appears to have replaced the 2000 watt model, which is no longer listed on Costco's web site.

When you read the reviews, even some of the 4-star reviews, you will find that AiPower’s customer service is horrible. Those who got a good genny out of the box were very happy. Those who had initial issues hated their experiences with customer service.
Biggest complaint was that the genny wouldn’t run their AC. Of course not. Parallel two of them or buy a soft start. BTW, nice feature of having integrated parallel support.
I already have two Wen 2000s, so I won’t be taking this deal.

Not bad deal even if you need two to run AC. Later RJD

I got my predator 3500 for only $200 more as the store manager honored a 2 year old coupon. Well worth the extra $$ in my opinion. One word, its an absolute beast of unit compared to the A-i and moving it around is tough. Lifting it into the back of the truck by yourself is out of the question.

Thanks for sharing.
I'm on the generator fence myself.
I have the blue AI Power Yamaha powered 2000W unit from Costco which ran the AC on my popup just fine (during testing.) However, I haven't even attempted to run the 15K BTU unit on my Roo yet.
My buddy has the 13.5K on his Roo and just bought this one for a $450:
https://www.amazon.com/Westinghouse-.../dp/B01MTGJGCN
I'm going to see if it will run mine as well.
I have also thought about the 100# 3200W+ units but have yet to run into a situation where I need to run the Roo's AC off the grid. The genny we currently have is really just our power backup to keep the fridge going during hurricanes or ice storms and its never been used for that either...and 100# is heavy....

I bought the 440 lb electric hoist from Harbor Freight to lift my 3500 watt generator into and out of back of truck. Mounted on garage ceiling. $100 and it comes in handy for other things also.

Just came home from Costco and noticed that they are now carrying the Firman 2000 generator. I believe the price was either 449 or 499, can't remember which. Several years ago bought a Firman 3100 from Costco and have been very pleased with it. When I received it I immediately called Firman customer service to get the jets for higher altitude. From the factory they are jetted for 0-3000 ft. Home is over 4000 ft. They sent me no charge both the 3-6000 & 6-9000 ft. jets. Very impressed with their customer service.

Sams Club has the A-iPower 2300 for $50 less than Costco. In stores and online.

The weight is a downside for sure. I really want the ability to run on propane though, so I don't have to deal with lugging gasoline around.

I did a ton of research, and it was down to the Champion 3200 dual fuel and the big Westinghouse dual fuel. The DF Westinghouse is unobtainable right now. I got the Champion in the Amazon Warehouse for a very good price, and even though it was "refurb" or more likely just a return (it came in a brand new box with all brand new, bagged accessories), they sold it with the full warranty, not a 90 day one. I've been very pleased with it.
We do a lot of boondocking around town, and using propane is much more convenient. Since I'm in a very rural area, getting propane is no problem. Most of the campgrounds go to when we are out doing more long-range traveling also have propane too.
Anyway, during my research, the other brands had some very negative reviews if you dig around on every website/store they are sold at.
