X3 on the Camp Chef stuff. Went to Cabelas to purchase the Coleman Roadtrip, but deemed it too small and well, cheaply built. Started to look at the Weber Q's, have a big Weber at home and love it, but for the money and size I wasn't sold. Stumbled on the Camp Chef big gas grill 3 for $249. It's not small. It's not light, but it does a hell of a job. It's 3 burners with a 2 burner grill top. We also picked up a 2 burner skillet top. We camp with friends a lot and big meals are cake on this thing. I bought the bags for it and keep it in a dedicated spot in the TH garage.........It doesn't fit anywhere else!

Blackstone Griddle and a Webber Q. Love the Blackstone hate the Q. The Q is way over priced. For 99 dollars the SAMs grill looks good.

And that's concern with Q. Its at the top of what I care to spend on a grill. I don't mind the price as long as it lives up to the reputation.

Vote for the Weber Q2200 also. Three years and still looks and works great. Actually use it as the house grill now too.

Another vote for the Weber Q2200 here...

We've had it (and the folding/rolling stand) for 2 seasons - and am very happy with it. We had a cheap grill that we used with our old trailer; the Weber is head and shoulders above it. Friends of ours have the Broil King portable - I wasn't impressed with it, to be honest.

I haven't done the quick connect mod - I carry a 20# bottle for it (and as a spare for the trailer) in a milk crate in the back of the pickup anyways... I've been tempted, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I have a Weber Q which I love but since the trailer is new and came with what looks like a decent grill I want to give that one a chance to impress us before I leave it home.

The truck averages 11.5MPG pulling this trailer with the trailer loaded with my Harley and 1 quad in the garage, 2 quads on the deck of the truck and I also pull my 1994 Jeep YJ behind the trailer as a "toad vehical". Sorry this is so long winded but I have a lot of "stuff".

On our Q2200 we can put two small chickens on a rack, and the big domed lid still clears them. We love it.

Here's a couple things to know about the the Weber Q's quality.

Very little things can go wrong. They only way something on this grill is going to ever break is if you don't strap it down and it falls out onto the road while you're driving. It's a SOLID piece! It's got a cast aluminum base and lid with a cast iron grate. It will not ever succumb to the heat. It's a stainless steel burner, so it won't ever rust out on you. I took my 8 year old burner out while doing my heavy duty cleaning. I used a scotchbright pad and then a small paper clip to make sure all the holes were clear in it and put it back in...it is like brand new....and that's after 8 years of moderate use! The construction of the base is good being a composite like plastic that screws directly into the cast aluminum base. The only thing thats ever gone wrong with my grill was the ignitor.....$15 on the replacement....in 8 years! You will pay a little more for this grill, but you won't be buying a new grill every 2 or 3 years either. You get what you pay for!

Even though I have a Weber Q, the Traeger wood pellet grill gets my vote.

We have 2 Weber Q's, large one is 13 years old and works perfect, bought the smaller one 4 yrs ago because it's just DH and I now, easier to haul. Have also bought them for our kids. Never had a problem with any of them.

I have no problem with quality of materials, it just doesnt get hot enough for me. Replaced burner and regulater and still not hot enough to cook a pizza. I like the pellet idea though.

I love to cook, so when we are in the campground I always have something cooking!

The Kamados work well for smoking, baking, searing, grilling, etc!

You could try drilling the holes in the burner just slightly bigger. You will just use more gas.

I'm definitely going with the"Q" . I really like charcoal but with just me , the wife, and toddler, propane just makes sense. Now I'm just hoping for a sale come memorial day.

I've owned the Weber and multiple other gas grills, but the best I've come across has been the Green Mountain Grills, Davey Crocket pellet grill. It takes up a good bit of space and is somewhat heavy, but for cooking food, it can't be beat!

I have a Coleman Roadtrip NXT that cooks well, but is bulky.

Since I am usually camping fairly close to home, and sometimes am cooking for a larger group of my camping buddies, I am not above even taking my Charbroil Big Easy oil-less turkey fryer along. That way I can cook anything from a turkey, ribs, shish kabobs, or even use it as griddle with the optional attachments.

You can find these on sale for around $75 a lot of times, but you have to buy the kabob holders, rib racks, and griddle separate.
