Hail damage Roanoke, VA

Well HAIL!!!
We went to a church pot luck dinner at a popular local park this evening and got more than we thought we might. We had a really wicked thunderstorm blow rain and marble size hail sideways under the picnic shelter. Everybody and his kids got soaked to the skin and chilled. We collected our dish and left when the rain let up enough to get to the car. Got to the house and the neighbors were outside looking at the hail on the ground and checking their cars for damage. Uh oh, not a good sign. Climbed up on the coach roof and found 2 of the 4 vent covers just beat up with holes in them. The insulating cushions I stuffed up in the vents soaked up the rain that tried to leak in, they are drying now. The other 2 vents were OK, under those nice Camping World Vent covers (their budget version of the Maxx Air vent covers) I put on back in the Spring. Those covers held up well, but the year old vent covers were done. I had kept one of the old covers against the possibility of it being needed and swapped it out for one of the beat ones. Then I took a cover from under the Camping World vent cover and put it over the other. Now I have to get 2 new replacement vent covers and I guess I'll be investing in 2 more of the Camping World vent covers...
Here are some photos of what the hail did.
Oh, the photo of the hail and the quarter was a good 1/2 hour after the storm blew over, so it was probably a bit larger...

Just another of the joys of RV ownership.

Big time bummer. At least the damage is easily fixable.

Hope you have some insurance on it. Our van had to have the whole roof replaced several months ago because of hail damage. At least there was no deductible on the damage.

Thanks, we do have full coverage insurance, but the cost to make the repairs would be less than the deductible. If I let the shop do it, yeah, it would be more than the deductible, but this is something I can take care of. Gives me an excuse to put those other two Camping World vent cover covers on...
