Red face Happijac almost killed me

Not really...but sort of.

First time owner here. Bought my 2009 V-Cross second hand and it has the happijac chain drive bunk bed lift in the back.

The top bunk free floats so when I try to shimmy my fat butt off the bed the back of the bed lifts up and dumps my plump self square on the floor.

Are these what I need? Or are they already installed in the rail? Assuming they must already be in there? How else would the system know when to stop the top bunk?

I have no idea. But I bet you could make some money on the video!

Whatever money I made from the video would be offset by medical bills after busing my rump.

Does anyone have experience with these lifts?

Well after reading that I better get my fat butt up there and check instead of the grandchildren. Although they are lighter than me.
