Hello - Good By
It is about to be official with the closing sale of our 2018 Isata 36DS Motor Home and we will no longer be an RV owner. It was a great coach and we loved the 4 trips that we successfully made with it, with only a few minor complaints, but getting both knees replaced over the past 9 months required us to make the decision to sell the unit rather than let it sit another 6-12 months before we could realistically once again enjoy it. Overall the coach was an excellent choice and we were very pleased with the performance, the service side of the transaction however, was nothing less than horrendous since in the 28 months that we owned it, it was in the dealers service department a total of 8 month, for repairs that should not have taken more than a few days, although the COVID 19 shutdown was responsible for 4 of the 8 months by itself. Buyer beware, these coaches require full time maintenance and unless you are technically astute, or have a brother-in-law as an RV Technician, be prepared have the unit tied up for repairs or hire an independent service technician to fix it on your site. It has been our experience the RV dealer is set up to do one thing and that is to sell units and they are grossly understaffed or capable of performing even the most minor repairs. It was fun however, I enjoyed following the forum and some of the crazy comments and useful hints. Good luck and travel safe...Out
