Help - Slideout making a lot of chattering noise....

Hi All,

Just got through repacking the wheel bearings when this starts happening....

On the last 12" of travel on my slide-out, I get a lot of chatter in the extension/retraction of the slide out. I believe I jacked up my trailer properly for the re-pack but this has me concerned. I've lubricated everywhere I can, but the threaded rod is shrouded and I can't get any lube on it. Any ideas on what it might be? This only occurs in the last 12" or so of travel.....

Any ideas? Any adjustments on the slideout that I can do?

Mine does the same thing, going in and out. I showed it to my dealer on two different occasions and they say it's normal even though it started after I had the TT about 6 months.

This probably dosen't help you much, but if I find out anything different I'll let you know.

OK, at least I'm not the only one out there with that issue. I'm just worried about wear and tear on the tiny electric motor for the slideout. (With my luck, it will fail at the most inopportune time...) I just don't want to hear that ratcheting noise before I'm all the way out, as that will cause other problems.....

PS I did notice a small tear in the black underside of the slideout, but I'm not sure that's related to my issue here...
