Be careful with the chemicals being suggested. Combinations of any two could be dangerous. Read labels. Remember these go into your holding tank.

Im not suree how rust stain remover would work on a plastic toilet. It isnt rust that is the problem.

Hydrochloric acid/Muriatic acid. I'm a plumber and that's what gets it done.

My guess would be yes,,, we use chorine Tabs in our toilet tanks @ home to keep tanks clean,,, the chlorine shortens the life of our rubber flush gaskets !!!

If your worried about the rubber seal, take it off. Put it back on when you're done. Easy peasy.
