Here is a handy chart for oven size, temperature, and number of coals. There are a lot of apps for your phone that are handy to have instead of this chart. Hope it helps for all dutch oven enthusiasts. Works best if top coals are placed along the outside rim. When no more room, place remaining coals equally over the top.

Pizza oven

I bought the Camp Chef 3 burner stove and the pizza oven to go with it. I get pizza dough from my local pizza parlor. They charge a buck a pound. One pound will make two 12 inch pizzas. The most creative pizza I made was peanut butter some mores. I par cooked the dough, then smeared peanut butter, broken graham crackers and chocolate chips. Back in oven till chips melted. Then covered in mini marshmallows and back in oven for 30 seconds until brown. They were awesome. I don’t have a picture of it but here is a pepperoni one.

I have a camp chef oven/grill thing that I was given when my inlaws upgraded to a new TT. We'll use that, or we take the coleman road trip, and put down one of those copper sheets. This year we switched to using the small tandori naan bread from costco. They're about 4-5" in diameter, and have a little density to them. Work really well for dough and cook up fast.

Using both the oven and grill, I made about 25 of them in about an hour for 10 people. start cooking them in the oven, switch them over to the grill to crisp up a bit. While the oven was going, I made some sausage on the cooktop for those that wanted that as a topping.

Real simple. Just a pizza stone on the grill and the pizza creation of your choice. Use a propane torch for browning the top crust. Don't laugh, every chef in your high end restaurants has a bernz-o-matic torch for browning.

Well, after all that exciting stuff...

We use the pre-made pizza crusts that come several to a package depending on size, and assemble our own "pizza kit" of sauce, cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms and so on from the grocery store.

And we just shove it in the oven in the camper galley.

Because of ease of preparation pizza has become our traditional first night in camp meal because we're likely too tired to fool with setting up a grill and all that. Clean up is easy too with paper plates all that requires washing is the pizza pan and the cutter wheel.

It's just too easy.

I saw a couple of responses in this thread about using a dutch oven and that's how we do it but with a bit of a twist. I found this recipe a couple years ago and it works really well - using the refrigerator pop out biscuit dough.

Here's a picture - not the best but the only one I could find. A bit nontraditional but very tasty and easy to make. BTW, using parchment paper is a must for this recipe unless you like scrubbing pots!

Looks good. We have made breakfast pizza like that instead of sauce we used white gravy.

Had the chance to use the PizzaCraft oven yesterday. Pizza was Phenomenal! I used a thin Pillsbury crust and rolled It out on a 12" pizza pan. Cooked the crust first for 3 minutes and then added sauce and toppings cooked another 4 minutes. I left the the crust on the pan bottom did not burn.

How do you do camp pizza?

Try an UUNI or they changed the name to OONI. It runs off Hard Wood Pellets and gets to 900def F and cooks a pizza in 90seconds

With Domino's adding all those "hot spots for public delivery who knows. Your campground may become one so then you dont have to do any work at all.
