How to take off cover on thermostat

Does anyone know how to take off the cover for the RVcomfortZC thermostat?
I don't want to break it.

According to this, https://old.rvcomfort.com/rvp/pdf_documents/1976659.pdf You just pull it off of the base by pulling on the right and left sides.
I couldn't see exactly how it snaps on, but like most digital thermostats, the connecting pins are on the thermostat, and the socket is on the base.
