I met my new Camping Buddy today!!!
I finally got to meet my new camping buddy, Lil' Dude, but it may be a couple of years before we get to do very much camping together.
His official name is Gary (after me) Nelson (after my DIL's father) Rhodes. I have a habit of calling my son Dude and we all have already picked up the habit of calling him Lil' Dude.
He arrived at 11:04 this morning weighing in at 8 lbs 4 oz and is 20 ½" long.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate it.
We have 4 fantastic grand daughters, ages 4, 5, 8, & 9. They all like to camp. We will have all 4 this weekend.
So Lil' Dude is our first and probably our only grandson. I will spoil him just like I have the girls!

Yeah I'm proud. Love my grand daughters and couldn't do without any one of 'em, but I'm sure lookin' forward to campin' and fishin' with my grandson (I do camp and fish with the grand daughters as well). I believe it's gonna take a week or two for this grin to wear off.
Yeah, he's small. Everyone kept sayin, "Eight pounds!, He's a good size baby!". While I was holding him I kept thinking about how small he is.

Congrats... it's never too early to take the Little Dude camping... we went 28 days last summer in a pop up tent trailer!!!
