I think I am finally done

I just finished extending my driveway to connect to the camper pad i put in my back yard 2 years ago. To force myself to get it done, I prepped the space and than had 5 tons of gravel dumped in the space. If I wanted to go camping, than I would have had to spread it out. I also installed stepping stones in the fall from my back porch to the door of the camper. Right next to the camper is the raised fire pit area I put in a few years ago with picnic table, bench and a swing. At least if I can't be at a campground, I can still be camping. Sorry my pictures are sideways. Can't figure out how to correct that.

First, that looks great! I laughed when you said you intentionally blocked yourself in.

As for the pictures, that's this forum. They don't handle orientation properly. It's been an issue for years.

Looks nice, wish I could do the same...
BUT, now you get to start thinking about putting up a roof for protection!

That looks great! We did the same thing with 12+ tons of stone 2 years ago, it is certainly motivating.

We had to put our MH on the north (left) side of our property, so no mini campground, but we're working on a dry creek bed and a pondless waterfall with a firepit on the other side so we can enjoy those cool Arizona evenings.

That sounds great. I was joking with my wife that I could dig out a lazy river around the fire pit area and then we would never have to leave the back yard.

As SailorSam said, now you need the carport. And be sure and get the sides all the way down, which we didn't do and had to do later.

Thanks everybody. I definitely am planning a RV port during the summer, and whoever fixed my pictures, thank you!

Very nice job, that looks awesome. You have one of the nicer campgrounds in your own back yard.

That's a great use of space! Very welcoming for weekend stay at home camping and a guest house.

I remember when we were considering buying a trailer, I wanted to park it at our house and have it usable at all times. It's paid off very well. While our house is only 1,300 sq ft with 5 of us, the trailer is a "guest house" and "mother in law suite" to any overnight visitors. Way cheaper than an addition or bigger home.

Looks good.

We put a car port in last fall. Then had the driveway installed this year. Very easy to do. Just laid out the ground cover 12' wide. Then a local travel supplier laid the gravel. They actually blew it in using a chute like a concrete truck. Very cool and no ruts in yard. Even better. Very little leveling is needed later.

Live in South Texas and leveling is not a problem.

The place that we used is called Rock Chuckers. Very cool to watch them literally shoot the gravel out. And the big truck is remote control. Made for an entertaining morning. Sorry my video wouldn't upload here.

Good Morning from Bellbrook,OH, question on your gravel drive, it looks very nice, I need to do the same except in my backyard, did you have to dig out and put down different layers/size of gravel or just spread it out and call it a day?
