Good luck PG! Take your time. Unfortunately, it couldn't have happened on a worst day but better days are coming! I have a million questions for you so hopefully you won't mind if I send you a PM when you get settled.

That's awesome, hope the weather doesn't make it more difficult. Could you post an update on the experience when you get a chance.

Also could you let us know if the bad storms damaged any of the units on the lot. I'm picking up mine in 3 wks.

Side note: I believe another member is supposed to be there today as well...maybe you'll meet up. (I don't know if they would care if I posted their screen name so I won't for now. But ask around while you're there and make a new friend )

Just curious how much did you save thru RVW vs buying local?

BTW Travel safe on your return trip.

We were at RVW today also. Don't know if I saw you. Had some issues with our Roo19. I have a seperate post called "issues picking up Roo today..." If anyone has any suggestions or experience with a similar issue I would appreciate some advice.

Thanks

Soooo much to post, but too tired to do it on my phone. lol Short version is RVW was great and the trailer was perfect. Bad news is two miles down the road I got scared ****less when a semi passed me going the other way, and I'm no Nervous Nellie behind the wheel. Turned right back around and bought the Equal-I-Zer and all is well -- what a HUGE difference.

We're camping at a beautiful park 20 min away and everything couldn't be better -- heater and heated mattress are cranking! Back on the road to Colorado in the morning -- hoping the hitch pays for itself! Going to hit the Cat scale as well. More to follow...

Interesting to see RVW is actually Durnells RV. I did not know this. I thought the company name was RVW. Learn something new everyday.
pg_rider.... you must have got an awesome price cause its a long, long way from the springs to Ohio. Nice rig BTW. We were looking at that model also as we too have a Ridgeline.
Keep us posted on how your return trip progress's.

RVW is the internet side of Durnells RV, same as RV Direct is the internet side of Albany RV, Buffalo RV, Des Moines RV and Orlando RV. I was told that manufacturers will only sell to stick and brick dealerships.

PG Rider,
Glad to hear all went well for you. TT looks great and probably a really good call to go back for the Equalizer. Did you grab a 1K/10K or 600/6K

I've heard good things about the Ridgelines.

By the way it's time to update your signature...

PG Rider, perhaps you and other Ridgeline owners could start a email campaign to get Honda to take the anti-WDH references out of their literature.

there are other brands that have uni-body vehicles that have recommendations FOR using a WDH. only Honda has this policy.
one of the big reasons we decided on not buying a Ridgeline, even though we really loved the vehicle.

it would do a lot for raising peoples respect for the Ridgeline as a viable tow vehicle.

The weather was awful for sure -- very cold and spitting snow. I have to admit I cut my PDI significantly short because I just couldn't stand to be outside.

No idea about damage to any trailers, but they didn't mention anything. Seems like all they got was a little wind so you should be fine.
