Improving cell signal.
While I know a lot about a lot I know nothing about cell phone reception.
I wish to improve cell reception.
Already have a useless WiFi booster. Most campgrounds seem to have poor systems. Did not know that. Prefer a better outcome this time.
We own current Apple phones thru Spectrum. Basically unlimited service. I know what that means.
We were in nowhere Tennessee last month. Cell service was minimal but, we could get enough signal to stream Netflix. Very nice.
Is it possible to add a directional antenna to our rv. What device does it need to plug into to be used with our phone as a hot spot.
Simple is better. I wish there was an antenna plug on the phone!!! That I understand. I am assuming a directional antenna 20’ in the air would provide a better signal. I. E. Service in the middle of nowhere more often?
Help!

I have the WeBoost Drive-x and am happy with it. It will improve a weak signal, but can not create one out of nothing. A few items to be aware of. Check to insure the one you choose works with your carrier's system. Some have a small transmit antenna that allow the phone be be a few feet away while others require the phone to be in contact with the antenna. The amplifier module gets warm when using it so it should be mounted somewhere with air flow.

Have looked into Weeboost. Almost bought one. Saw another trap to fall into.
Did not realize it was a single antenna that actually limits downloads. Sometimes it makes the signal worse? You have seen improvements everywhere? Mostly concerned about services like Netflix.
It is Spectrium, I think Verizon’s network. It is shared one.

We use this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ... yes expensive but it works. Takes 1 bar or 2 bars to 3 or 4 bars, it is directional, I use phone app which shows closest tower. I need no help to set up. I attach to ladder with these https://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-Orig...2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1 ... cable goes thru slide window using flat cable. As wit most things that work you have to work at it, after couple times I now set it up in minutes. It collapses down to 4 feet and stores in basement, lots of YouTube videos. We use it with a Verizon MIFI.

Are you using the candy bar antenna or did you replace it? If you are, how does it work and if replaced, what with? Everyone says the candy bar has no coverage area.

I use antenna that came with the RV 65 in the link on my post, works good. Have a app on phone that gives me direction of nearest tower, it has to be pointed. later Frank
