Hey a quick tip to those suffering with inadequate heat for cooking while camping.
Get an induction burner. I have heard about them for years, and now that my local Canadian Tire has them for sale I figured I'd try it out. (After it took an hour and a half to cook frozen breakfast sausage on the outdoor stove)
Nuwave Induction Burner from Canadian Tire.
All I can say is WOW. It does require a special pot, (Really easy test, does a magnet stick to it...) but this is truly a game changer in my opinion.
90% of what I cook I do over an open flame while camping, but for those times when a powered heat source is needed this is honestly better then most residential grade gas stoves! Wind doesn't affect it at all, like with the propane stove in our outdoor kitchen, and with the picnic table set up beside the trailer it is very convenient also. Light and easy to use, this is awesome, and I wish I had one sooner.
Hope this helps someone else out there!
