Installed Airbags, getting ready for Labor Day

Getting some stuff together at the Toy Box today in anticipation of my Labor Day camping weekend. Making a big mess is more like it:

I also got the air bags installed on my Suburban.

I thought this would be a real easy project, and it was straight forward, but it was really fiddly to do. Getting the air hoses on the barbs and getting those bags in the springs was pretty tough. I'm all cut up!

Seems like it's gonna work good though. Aired up, I can't feel much difference in the ride, but it doesn't let the back end sag like before. I hooked up my Sport and it only dropped 1 inch! The true test will be on my other trailer with the WD hitch setup.

So tomorrow, I have a few odds and end to install on my trailers, namely some LED awning lights and to clean up the rest of this mess!

I could sure use all that space.

Looks like you did a nice job on the airbags. Think you will like the end result.

Got the rest of my projects done and cleaned up, packed up.

Installed 2 LED light kits on awnings - this was really easy. Both had to be trimmed to length. One I stuck on with outdoor 2 sided tape, the other just peeled and stuck the 3M tape they came with:

These containers from Costco are awesome:

All cleaned up and ready for Labor Day weekend!

Looks good, I would watch the ones stuck on with the tape that came on them. Mine didn't hold even though I cleaned the surface with alcohol. They started drooping after 2 or 3 days just sitting in the driveway.

I have a car hauler trailer and a couple of boats back there. I may get some more cars - but I'll have to get some of those lift things to be able to store them! I'm only renting this garage this year. Wanted to try out the size before I have one built. Thinking 60x80 is just too small.

I was getting tired late in the afternoon, so I just stuck 'em on. I rolled up the awning before I left, so hope that makes a difference. But if they fall, I got lots of the other tape in the toolkit.

I'm looking at putting air bags on my 05' Ford F150, and Firestone seems to be good, what air bags did you go with.

These are the Airlift 1000. They fit inside your coil springs, which I'm not sure you have on an F150. There are no shortage of air bag types though, they make bolt on ones for leaf spring as well.

I was wondering the air bags in springs, you have a very nice set up. Yeah I'm doing the leaf spring set up.
