Insulation Help Needed

We have a Salem Toy hauler and plan on spending the winter in Texas this year , but can not leave until 1st of Jan. I have tried to insulate under the TT with 2 " insulation but have not found a way to protect the water and holding tanks short of building a box under the trailer (wow) anyone ever tried this? I have lived in the north most of my life and doing this for a house no big deal , but with an RV /TT I think this may not be so easy.

Here's a thread posted here in 2010 that may answer some of your questions... http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ears-8429.html

A few questions , I assume your water holding tank and sewer tanks are heated?
If so then buy the blue or pink stray foam board and box in tanks , the sell silicone to glue the seams or use wood screws

Next heat trace water lines and insulate with 3/4"
Foam pipe insulation

Buy thin plywood and screw the foam board to plywood and skirt the trailer

On the inside open cabinet doors where there are any plumbing lines so they will get heat

Your sewer should be fine , hook up lateral line to sewer connect , keep valves open

We live in Texas also , where are you going to be ?

Thank you

This is some great ideas I have most of the bottom done with 2 inch blue , but gluing and heat tape maybe my next step. I may run out of time here we are heading that way in Jan if all goes well.
