How good is good Sam insurance and how far do you go with it ? Was offered regular insurance plus an RV repair policy new to RV world so could use some imput on this

I found GS insurance to be high priced. I would not buy an extended warranty.

I use Progressive for insurance. Reasonable price plus great service the one time I used them. Get some quotes..

Their insurance was less plus option cancel part when it is parked at your house for 30 days or more was thinking extended was like what they try selling on cars

check our Progressive, they have two additional coverages that are fairly new that can be added, one is for damage caused from rodents (normally not covered) and roof damage that includes wear and tear and doesn't depreciate for age.

I just got a quote from Erie for less than half of what Good Sam quoted. I was told rodent and roof would be covered under Comprehensive. I will be contacting Progressive too.

I just switched to progressive for the roof coverage.

We went with the National General with our Good Sam membership for the replacement policy. Haven't had to file a claim, so we have no idea how good they are.

Wife is an insurance agent and appointed with numerous carriers one of which is Progressive. She puts most all of her RVs with Progressive as they offer actual replacement cost and have rodent and roof endorsements plus we have Progressive and had to (unfortunately) file claims. And they were TERRIFIC with handling our claims.

Good Sam actually shopped my rates. I was originally with Travelers who has my home and autos. Good Same placed me with Progressive which fortunately to date I have not had to make a claim with but I feel confident that if I do I will have a good response.
