Living in a State where quite a few morons drive around without insurance, that sounds like a good idea.

May want to double check. Get into an accident or mishap on the road where your trailer is damaged your truck insurance will not cover your trailer.

I think what he is saying as mine is this way the truck and trailer liability is covered by the truck, the trailer comprehensive and collision is covered by the truck and trailer each separately.

Bottom line check to see what is required in your state / or locality. In Virginia you can loose your drivers lisc. for not having liability insurance on your tow vehicle if the tags are current.
