Internet

We are fairly new to camping and are enjoying long weekends in our Rockwood Mini. My question to the group is what does everyone do about internet. Most of the State Parks in FL does not offer it and the RV parks we have been to has very poor internet Svc. We have tried using our iPhone hotspot but very slow & does not work well with our fire stick. I have talked to a few full timers that are using dish tv but found very expensive since we are still doing this part time. I am open to any suggestions.

Thanks, Larry W.

We use Verizon with a Jetpack (hotspot). It has worked well for us.

Whose your cellphone provider? We have T-Mobile and we live out West and we have no problems using our phones as hotspots. Living in flat Florida, you either have a poor provider or older phones or a poor plan.
Not aware of Dish offering internet and have no idea how you would since the trailer not wired for internet.

Ability to connect to the internet will vary from place to place and all across the country.

Since I often camp in places with no phone service at all, which means that "hotspots" won't work either, I just keep a good supply of DVD's and books for my evening entertainment.

The rest, e-mail, texts, I can catch up on when I get back to civilization.

Speaking only for myself, I don't really miss internet while camping but I do realize that many need it for work. However I rarely encounter people working via internet when truly out in the boondocks.
