Is this your Sanibel?

If so, my apologies in advance. We were travelling towards Chicago on December 17, going West on I-80/94 in Northwest Indiana when we came into slow traffic. Here was the cause. Didn't appear to be any personal injuries and we are pretty sure it was a transporter doing the haul. Probably not delivering a new trailer since he was heading toward the plant area but not a Merry Christmas for someone.

I didn't forget, but for some reason it didn't load. No doubt operator error.

Doesn't look like fun weather to be towing in. That's gotta really suck. Hope insurance takes care of them. I'm sure it's totaled, no?

At least the strap on the fridge did its job!

How does that happen without the hitch pulling the tow vehicle over with it? Tow vehicle appears to be sitting normally. Maybe the hitch broke loose somehow?

If you notice, it's right after an overpass. That's where most rv loss of control accidents happen.

Most likely going too fast for conditions.

Looks like a CC dually dodge(?). I don't think they put marker lights on SRW anymore. It's at least a 3/4 ton. Should have been more than enough truck.

I'm gonna say it was brand new on its way for delivery. If you zoom in enough, you can see the "features" sticker and shipping strap still on the fridge.

I hope it was one of those RVs that needed to go back to the plant for numerous warranty issues that the dealer could not fix. The owner won't have to worry about that anymore. Now they can start shopping for a new one.

Perhaps the concrete barrier prevented the truck from rolling over. The much taller 5th wheel rolled over it easily.
RV is totaled and the truck may be also as the truck bed and must be badly twisted.

Love my Wildcat 295RSX!
