I just bought a used Rockwood 2034S. I really like but it came with no manuals. The Dometic refer is a little strange compared to a Norcold. The interior is very comfortable. At the RV show the new units looked cheesy compared to the Rockwood.

Very exciting Frank! Hope it's not pouring rain on you. Had to hitch mine up, install battery box and batteries, and new WDH and tow home in dark and rain. Not a fun first tow!

This is good advice. We were awe struck with our 33iK 5th wheel and now that we have it home, there are a few things that need fixed that we didn't notice when we took it home. The dealer will fix any issues but we should have been more proactive with checking things out before we left the lot.
Enjoy your new Rockwood!

Recommend you take an hour or so and open all the major appliances and write down make, model and serial number. Then go online and get the manuals from the OEM. There are some manuals in the Library section of the forum as well. I suggest you keep this list of data both in the RV and at home. If you ever need parts or service help it will be invaluable.

We are home.... inspection went good the tech was good and complete we went top to bottom with complete demo of everything ... I was impressed with the dealer ... he explained and answered all of our questions there were only a few minor issues which were corrected I did not let him walk past anything that we did not open look at pull on and inspect. We ran the water on all sinks the shower had lots of hot water. I tested all plugs ... turned on the stove and frig was at temp when we got there and A/C's had the camper at a cold 63 degrees ... turned off AC and tested furnace gas and electric ... good review of fuse's and breakers and the control panel and lighting he also explained shore power vs 12 volt ... spent long time explaining dump tanks and when and showed how to fill and dump... unit came with 30' 50amp power cord not sure if I would need extension ... Mechanic unlocked king pin on the Turning Point and installed the wedge and we hooked it up Ram handled the weight and the rig is level with no adjustments, my hitch installer nailed the height ... lots of clearance for the cab and bed rail... trailer tires were at 72 lbs I had them put at 80 ... Adjusted the brakes and headed home .... drive was fine very windy 25-30 for those who say you forget it is back there I say no ... stayed at 63-65 .. not when you are pulling a 13 foot tall trailer ... still a good ride no worries pulled straight.... Took several tries backing in at the house need some more practice to get my spots and fine tune so it is one shot in. So busy forgot to take pictures I will get some soon I will be practicing hooking up and backing in and will take some when I pull it out... Overall a good start to our camping experience still have a lot to learn and I would say most important at this point is to go slow and think thru every task you are working on. I thank the forum for all the help and feedback we have booked for 4/11-4/14 at my daughters campground (Peace River in Arcadia Fl) we will have plenty of help there they all know us not to mention the Family discount ...my wife's brother and brother in law will be there. Thanks again

Now that you have your FR camper don't forget to sigh up to be come a Frog Member cost nothing. Go here to register. Forest River Owners Group - The official owner's group of Forest River RV, manufacturer of world-class recreational vehicles.
This will allow you to attend FRog rallys. Hope to see at one.

Congrats on the new rig. Later RJD

Congrats on not only your new toy, but an excellent job of documenting the thorough purchase process and honest assessment of your experience. This should be very helpful to other new owners.

Awesome, Frank. Glad that it went well! Great post, too. Enjoy your new rig. I hope that ours goes that well when we pick it up in a few weeks.

So installed TPMS this afternoon (TST 507 4 Sensor Tire Monitoring System with Color Display ) checked air psi and hooked up Rear camera ... Practiced hooking up and backing in and using the Auto level... big thanks to Mike my next door neighbor he has a 5th wheel and is the best helper you could have... Had to buy extension for 50 amp the plug we installed here at the house had to be out toward the front and the cord was about 2 feet short camper came with 30' cord , bought a 15' foot extension, from what I have read 30' should work 90% of the time. Unit came in 100lbs lighter (UVW) than web spec's advertised that's a good thing for my little Ram ....

Sounds like you have a great dealer, Frank. I wouldn't worry about rain... the HD TV is so good, we love watching movies in our unit on rainy days.
