It's so depressing....

Seeing all the campers on the road for the long weekend, while mine sits home. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend

I never camp on holiday weekends but will be prepping for the FROG trip to Branson next weekend. So there are compensations.

We avoid most holiday weekends like the plague, It's nice to be able to do it that way. I remember those weekender camping trips. Will be leaving 6-6-13 for Lake Red Rock, Ia for a week meeting with friends and then on to N.Dak for 5 days and then begin to slowly work our way back home to mow that darned ole GRASS.

Happy Camping

Doing the same thing. I had planned on washing and waxing the TT next week, but Mother Nature has different plans, it is going to rain all week. Maybe we can do the job between Branson and Goshen

we also never camp on holiday weekends. it's a sure bet for a miserable time at a very crowded campground, along with the miserable drive to and from.

We usually do camp on Holiday weekends, and do have to agree the campsites can be over crowded during the actual holiday weekend, but we usually extend the stay for a couple of extra days. It is amazing how quite the campground is once the holiday campers go home.

We don't camp on the holiday weekends anymore.....to aggravating. Friday I was about 100 miles north of Detroit and saw many trailers heading north on I-75. A little chilly but I'm sure they don't care.

We usually don't camp at campgrounds memorial weekend either, but I gotta say, its been a fun weekend at Indian Cave State Park in SE Nebraska. My DD's have made lots of friends, plenty to do in the park, and I think the best part has been being out! Especially in our Sabre! OC's awning poles, the LED awning lights, and overall appearance of the Sabre has been a good conversation starter.

Happy Camping!

It doesn't rain in Texas unless we plan a trip. Drove 60 miles through heavy storms on Friday and arrived in Bandera safe & sound where our site sits about 15' above the Medina River.

Weather cleared for a few hours yesterday afternoon, and we were able to go into town for the parade and rodeo festivities. Just east of us, San Antonio was clobbered with 9" in just over two hours causing serious flood issues.

The NWS just issued a flood warning for the Bandera area for the next few hours as we continue to 'camp' inside the trailer. We're prepared to exit quickly in the truck if necessary.

In these parts, we average 29" of rain annually, and you should be here the day it comes.

I don't want to step on any toes with my Texas Cowboy Boots , but in Texas state parks that we go to are very spacious . The one we are at cedar hill state park , there are over 325 sites , not crowded at all . Most site pads fort TT are 40-50 feet long , most you can put 2 tents on
Anyway , come to Texas see the wide open and friendly Hospitality folks
