its still winter

So...I trudged through two feet of snow (at least) to get out to our camper today. And mind you...I'm 5' tall, so 2' of snow is pretty tough for me to get through. Luckily, our camper is in a lot right next to our house, so I didn't have to venture far. Man, it was COLD in there! But everything looks to be in order. No mice, no leaks, and believe it or not, it still has that "new" smell after 3 years of camping! Anywho...the reason I had to go out there is to look for t-shirts and shorts. We're ditching this god-awful winter for 10 days and going to Arizona. I can't wait to escape this Wisconsin winter, especially when I have to look outside every darn day and see my beautiful camper covered in snow! Temps in Lake Havasu City are supposed to be in the 80's when we're there. At that rate I won't want to come back at all. It seems like its snowed almost every day since the middle of December. Probably hasn't, but it sure seems that way! It's 42 days, 18 hours and 28 minutes until spring. And probably another 3 weeks after that or so until we can even THINK about the possibility of MAYBE looking into a CHANCE of camping in April. So, an eternity.

Smart, very smart. Enjoy your get-a-away to Lake Havasu City! Just think, six months from now we'll be complaining about how hot and humid it is.

You have weather keeping you from camping. I live in the warm south and I won't be camping until April, either. However, that's cuz I have to work 6 days a week thru March! In a week or so, that will be 12 hours a day. One more year and I'm retired!

That is brutal, OC. I'm not sure how high we got today, but it is 70 degrees now at 7 PM.

Trudinator, Havasu sounds perfect right about now. -30 with the wind chill here today.

Say hi to the old London Bridge for those of us stuck in the deep freeze!

It's back to the deep freeze for us too. Temps tomorrow night -20. We won't be back above freezing for the foreseeable future. It's just been brutal. I'm going broke heating our shop - $500 last month plus $$ to heat our house. That's an awful lot of cutting boards we need to sell this year!

It's driving us crazy too here in Illinois, we have had the heat going in camper and stocking everything in it. We are going to get new tv tonight for it, we just purchased this camper in January so that makes it worse...We can't wait till spring!
