Jack not on the ground
As I'm sitting here having a coffee, I look over at the neighbor's trailer and notice their tongue jack isn't touching the ground. I've never seen it before, and am wondering how it may work..
No idea why the pic is sideways..

Probably worked pretty well for unloading and leveling. Probably not working so well at holding up the tongue or stabilizing the front of the TT.
Keep watching, soon there will be a post asking why my TT moves so much while walking up front! DR

I’ve done it by accident before with the front stabilizer jacks. Immediately ran the Jack down to take the pressure. lol. In my case did my usual kicking of the blocks ritual when I noticed it. lol.

Probably overlooked that jack. Or perhaps it's broken.
If you happen to see them, you might want to point it out.

Ever heard of "levitation"?
Hope they have the trailer supported properly with suitable leveling jacks. I've seen some instances where the stabilizers were deployed and then the tongue jack was lifted. Stabilizers are not designed for this.

It is likely a travel trailer with Auto Level.
When Auto Level is initiated the front landers drop until making contact with the ground and then the tongue jack retracts. The rear jacks then extend and the trailer levels itself. The tongue jack remains retracted.
Obviously chocking the wheels is a must.

Geeze, with all of that technology, no automatic wheel chocks?

With all this technology, does it unhook from the TV automatically?

Picture is sidways because this web site can't handle portrait--only landscape. Learned that the hard way myself.

I saw this on several TTs together in Myrtle Beach. They did not have self leveling setups. I assumed they thought the corner jacks (stabilizers) were all they needed to use. After all they are rated at 5000lbs each. The tongue jacks were completely retracted.
I was waiting to see one of them collapse but they did not.

Always do landscape with the "shutter button" to the right.
With all the technology I can't believe the website (forum) can't fix this.

We left before I could see the results of a weekend in it, but at least I wasn't alone in thinking it was odd. The stabilizer jacks look "beefier" than the Lippert ones we've got on ours. Everything I read mentions a 5 point system.

The jacks don't roll, no need for chocks.

Definitely will bend. Not a pretty result.
Don’t ask how I know.

I do orientations for an RV dealer.
Orientation lot has a slight slope which can be handled by the tongue jack without choking tires. Lift the jack and all bets are off.
Auto Level…chock the tires or have a seriously epic orientation fail.

1) That chain hanging down is really stiff.
2) Always take pictures with the "shutter" button on the right. See the blue line in my sig.
