Ordered the JT Strongarm jack supports while we were in Florida and installed them at the RV Park. Really impressed with how they work getting rid of most of the movement in the fifth wheel. However, not really liking the effort it takes to raise the front jacks when it's time to head home. Have to have the DW help by her pulling the pin and me using both hands to raise the lower part of the jacks.
Have auto level in our unit so was wondering if we would just use blocks with more height and only use the electric part of the front jacks and not use the manual lower part.

My fiver came with the strongarms and the passenger's side jack has been awful for me. On the last trip, I realized that if I lifted the whole thing by where the arm attaches to the bottom of the jack, it slid up with ease. You may try different spots to lift rather than just lifting the jack as you did prior to the install.

I had the same issue when I first installed mine.
I could lift my side of the landing gear with great effort but the DW couldn't lift her side.

I found I had tightened the attaching bolts (at the ends of the arms) just a tad too tight.

Once I found where there was no slop in the connection but not too tight, our problems went away

A periodic squirt of dry spray lube helps too. Make sure you spray up inside where the tubes telescope on both the Strongarms and the landing gear.

Thanks for the replies, just installed the rear arms yesterday after bringing the rig home from the dealer for some slide work. I put and extra layer of blocks down for the front and think I may be ok using auto level without lowering the bottom parts of the jacks. I will try your methods also just to see what works best. Again, thanks for the info.
