I don't believe that part about FR putting BAL sitckers over non BAL jacks. Period.
Maybe some clarification is needed as I have noticed the same thing:

The BAL stickers are not on the scissors jacks themselves but directly above them on the TT sidewall:

This would lead anyone to believe that the jacks are BALs, when in fact they (at least the ones in my and threegr8katz' TT) don't appear to be.

So yes, BAL could be making these for FR and choosing not to stamp/label it as a BAL jack but I guess there is nothing stopping FR to put the BAL label either.

Uh....that would be considered false advertising- and grounds for a lawsuit, I would think. My 08 also has those Bal stickers on the skirting above all 4 jacks, I have the side crank-down style jacks that sounds to me like they aren't any better than my style. I agree with the conclusion that they ARE indeed BAL jacks, just a lower quality factory supplied version. The nicer the equipment that they put on a camper from the factory, the more it will cost YOU and ME when purchasing one. My opinion, Randy

If FR was putting BAL stickers on their units and not using BAL products, they would be in a large law suit for copyright infringement. No large company wants to end up in court for this reason. That is why we have copyright laws. BAL would not allow FR to use their logo if thier product was not being used.

Matt, what are 'the stabilizer's'?

You would know without doubt just by the number of times you were at the stealership having them repair and or replace useless sub par OEM parts over and over.

really and how do you figure? The video is of the three types that BAL sells the lo profile the 5000 lb and 7500 lb......not one of the three is the ones I have on my new trailer.
I never saw on the video where it says that BAL has other lower quality jacks sold as oem parts to manufactors.

hey but thanks

RV Scissor Jacks Bal Leveling by Norco

Bal Leveling Jacks come in Standard and Deluxe models. Deluxe Bal Leveling Scissor Jack Model 24002D: 7500 lbs Per Jack Capacity, 24'' Lift. Deluxe Bal Leveling Scissor Jack Model 24003D: 5000 lbs Per Jack Capacity, 30'' Lift. Standard Bal Leveling Scissor Jack Model 24002C: 5000 lbs Per Jack Capacity, 24'' Lift

If they offer 3 different ones to the public what makes you think they don't offer more to manufactures? Also it is Norco http://norcoind.com/ that makes them and other stuff.

If you do not get satisfaction bark further up the tree. Just remember to be kind to the person you are talking too for you need them on your side to resolve the issue and they probably are not the ones who erred in the first place.

Excellent advice.

You may be able to get answers to your questions, from the source. You could ask what was supposed to be on your rig, what the part numbers are, etc You could explain your concerns about sub-par jacks, confirm that you have what you're supposed to have etc. At the very least the customer feedback is useful.

You may get nowhere with a call, but on the other hand, unless you put in the effort to try, you'll never know.

Ok, beyond anything already stated, I removed my "junk Jacks" they have no identification showing that they are or are not made by BAL

All I know is my new TT has BAL stickers on it talking about the jacks, one would assume with the sticker from BAL the jacks would be too,

The new ones the 24002c 5000lbs ones I installed have BAL stickers on the top of the jacks and on the bottem Bal and the model number is molded into the metal.

Strong sturdy steel

Beleive what you like but there is no way this junk that is on here was BAL, I feel confident that they would not sell such junk!!!

This is not a Rant this is me stating my opinion and stating the facts....

I dont see problems with these jacks. They are the same that other rv's manufacturers are using. For a lighter trailer like our a mini lite 1809s there is no issues. For a much bigger trailer and they are the same jacks it may be an issue?

threegr8katz, if you still feel THAT strongly that those jacks are definitely NOT made by BAL, there is half a phone book full of lawyers that just love to sue people. Who knows, MAYBE you could get lucky and win a bunch of money! You replaced them, they work better; get over it!!!

I can't believe no one has asked this question about your statement:

"I had something occur where I needed to replace the rear sissor jacks."

What happened?
