King antenna on 2017 Champagne

Antenna seems to be inferior as I cant get good coverage. Any ideas for a better antenna or an upgrade to this one? The one i have is the standard for a Champagne. Does not have any lights or booster that I can see.

the old gold standard is the wineguard batwing antenna it has been around for years and gives great reception.

We are having the same problem with our antenna on the same camper. The antenna does not go up, it just moves around in a circle. We cannot pick up any channels.

I'm taking mine back to dealer. Antenna doesn't work nor does the cable jack in the outside compartment. Am installing the direct tv satellite on roof too. Can't believe they put all the connections behind the heavy 60" tv!

Wow, such different experiences from us.

Raising a batwing 2' or so will not improve reception, and they are very fragile. (I destroyed one when it caught on some Spanish moss hanging from a limb). My experience to date is that the King antenna (now on 2 different campers for us) has better reception and is not as directional as a batwing.

For any 'over the air' reception system I have found the smartfone app DTV Antennas to be most helpful in aiming whatever antenna you have.

X2 this. I immediately replaced the Winegard batwing on my rig with the King Jack. Get's much better reception now.

If your antenna is just going round and round and not up, it's not the antenna's fault, it the mount. Something is wrong and needs to be checked.

The new LED televisions are by no means heavy as compared to how an old 35inch console TV was in the day.

I can handle my 40" Samsung by myself and mounted it on my own. With a 60", it's probably more awkward than heavy and two people should be able to take it down to get to the connections and put it back up with little effort.

I remote extended all the TV Jack's to a nearby cabinet. The batwing antenna is my preference because it is directional.

Just curious, but did any of those having problems getting good reception with your King Jack antenna actually read the manual? It states to turn on the antenna booster, where ever that maybe in your camper, turn on the signal meter (switch is on the side of the rotating knob) with the db gain turned all the way down, then turn antenna until you get the strongest signal and then turn the gain back up to achieve maximum signal strength. I am on my 2nd Jack antenna and as others have stated this is a far a better antenna the the old crank up and hope you remember to lower it before pulling out of the campground.
