Kool-Vue Towing Mirrors

I need to replace my stock mirrors on my 08 Ram 1500 with towing mirrors. My truck has heated mirrors and are adjusted electronically in the cab.

It seems like many businesses offer the Kool-Vue brand mirros and claim they appear to be a good as the original dealer equipment and operate like the the original equipment. Just curious if anyone has used these mirrors and if they are of good quality.

I appreciate any help or recommendation on other brands.

Thanks

Earl

They make one that fit over your stock mirrors for like $30 each you have to adjust manually but they work fairly well you can usually pick them up at camping world or any RV parts store

On my 07 Ram, I replaced the stock mirrors with aftermarket mirrors identical with what comes on the 2500 or 3500 and love them. I had to give up the electric adjustment, but sure am happy otherwise. Found them for $200 on ebay. You can find electric version, but they are about double the price of manual. In the winter, I switch back to the stock mirrors. Its an easy switch, only (3) nuts each side.

Thanks. I bought slip-ons but they shake so bad it hard to see what is in the morror. So, I definately want to replace the morrors. The Kool Vue mirrors claim they will plug in to the existing wiring to provide the same features as the stock mirror. From what I read, they are less than half of what a dealer would charge.

Thanks for the help

I went to their website and they look just like my factory units. The plug looks the same too. If they have a decent return policy I'd give them a try.
