Label/Sticker residue on corian countertops
Can anyone tell me how to get the label off my corian counter top? I thought it would peel right off, but it didn't! Help

Couple commercial products on the market -Goof Off is one if I recall the name correctly. Check whenever you use in an out of sight area first.

Try peanut butter. It'll dissolve chewing gum in a child's hair.
A Mom of three sons knows this sort of thing.

If the label is still intact, you might try a heat gun or your wife's hair dryer to warm it and thus softening the adhesive and a Teflon spatula to lift it. Just don't get it HOT!

Be very careful with things like Goo Gone. They can damage the surface. I recommend WD40.

Goof Off is simply lighter fluid, and could melt the counter, I would recommend something like Goo Gone or WD 40

they sell in the auto parts store an eraser that goes into an electric(or cordless) drill. worked great getting factory adhesive off my sons s10 tailgate when he went for the smooth look. no harm to the paint, cost about 15 bucks and took him 45 minutes. brushes right off like pencil erasure left overs.
basically a quite large pencil erasure. works good getting bumper stickers off your camper too.

Just how big can the residue patch be? Ours was probably 3 by 4 inches total and while ours sticker didn't leave any residue, I can understand some don't, but how difficult can removing it be.
If you don't want to use Goof Off or something similar, try the WD 40.
Remember these countertops are meant to take punishment. Doesn't the label have some suggestions for removing residue?

Yes it will. It also wont work on painted plastics, single stage paints or cheaply done paint jobs.
Ive used acrisol based adhesive removers for years, on auto paint, wood floor, fiberglass bath tubs, glass, plastic trim and moldings on vehicles, fabrics, granite, and it works on hand and feet (when someone gets hold of a sticky trap), and im sure some other stuff. No ill efects yet- except real fresh ( like less than 48 hour) auto clear coats on some brands will make it a little cloudy on the surface and a little soft again.
Op heres the stuff I mentioned before. Its not acrisol based but is very good and is what I use on all the above at work and home!
