Leech Lake to Sioux City

We are making a trip to Leech Lake in Minnesota then going west and south eventually ending up in Sioux City Iowa. Any good suggestions for places to stay and things to do along the way? We already have a plan for our trip to Leech Lake but nothing after.

If you leave Walker at 9:00 am you would be in Sioux City by about 4:00 pm. Are you driving it in one day or 2? Are you looking for another campground to stay at on the way? Do you like casino's? Where are you staying at Leech Lake? Do you have a RV? What type? It'd be nice to have some info.

We are looking to take 2 or 3 days. Love casinos. We have a motorhome so we'll either stop along the way or ride our bikes. We are hitting up Laura Ingles Wilder house for sure.

There's a casino on the west side of Mille Lacs Lake, one by Redwood Falls and Granit Falls. The one at Mille Lacs is called Grand Casino. You could stay there one night and another at Jackpot Junction by Redwood Falls which is 38 miles from Walnut Grove. The one by Granit Fall is about 45 miles from Walnut Grove. Google these casinos and see how they look to you. When are you coming to Leech Lake and are you staying at a campground?

We live on the northwest part of the lake on Steamboat Bay.
