Lemon law for RV's ?

A about 4 weeks ago I was at the RV show in Hershey, I was talking to a salemen about different issues on RV's, good and bad as we talked he brought the subject about the lemon law that legislation was trying to pass. This lemon law was to extend for the auto world to RV's. The salesmen said that the RV manufactors were fighting it because if it passed, alot of them would go out of business due to short cuts and materials that are used in manufacturing...... Any body know of this?

What that means to the RV manufacturer? They will have to provide quality work without short cuts if they want to stay in business. To a reputable company the lemon Law should not be an issue.

I think the Lemon Law is LONG OVERDUE in the RV world.
Quality is going right out the window with MANY brands. The consumer has nowhere to turn. Of course they are going to fight anything that dips into the profit margin or doesn't benefit them in any way.
Time for some REAL quality control measures. Bring it on.

When Retired Army CWO postsd the recall on wheels, I was in the the process of replacing my front axle. I was at dealer and ask them about the recall, they said that Forest River notified them then I asked why wasn't I notifed as a consumer? I got a funny look.....they said the manufactures are not oblicated to notify anyone but the dealers and the dealers have no oblication to the consumer. The lemon law would correct this problem. Just think, the manufactures are willing to put your life in danger, not only your life but your loved ones, just to line there pockets the manufactures should be proud.
