Exclamation Length on rear slide plus clearance issue?

For travel trailers with a hard rear slide, is the length of the trailer given on the spec sheet the length with the slide open or closed?

Also, on another note, we were really wanting to get the Surveyor SV294 but upon consideration found that the turn from the main road onto our road is quite a steep slope After reading the clearance of the Surveyor we are pretty certain that such a long trailer would not make it without some major scraping Hence, the aforementioned question on the length of rear slide models. Any suggestions or input on this? I have read that Forest River sells lift kits but not sure that it would lift the trailer enough. Any suggestions or input on this?

the length given is the closed length, just like our hybrid. our 23SS closed is 23', open it's around 30'.

lift kits are standard now. they used to offer a separate one on the Roo/Shamrock, back around '06.
i don't think the Roo has it optional anymore. maybe for other brands from FR.
