Letter from an attorney
Yesterday, I get a letter from a (legitimate) law firm in southeast Louisiana. No one wants to get a letter from a lawyer right? So, I tear it open and start reading.....hmm.....they are fishing for participants to join in a class action suit against Forest River. They ask questions about how long has your rv been in the shop during the warranty period.
I'll not be responding, but found the letter very interesting. I've read a few heartbreaking stories on here from folks who would probably jump right in. Anyway,..

That questions would be seriously skewed if most of the responders are Camping World customers. From what I read they keep your rig on the lot until the parts come in and they have time to work on it.

Camping World is no different than any other large dealer. We actually get better service when we use CW than regular dealers. We do try to use certified independents that provide service only when we can.
It will be interesting to see if this class action goes anywhere. We will probably know in about 5 years

Class action=Lawyers make TONS of money, claimants get a $12.00 discount coupon.
Screw that.

Where would these lawyers get a list of forest river owners?
How did they know who to mail to? Are they entitled to the list via some discovery ruling?

If you use the internet for anything, your info is on many, many, lists . And those lists are bought, sold, merged, and cross referenced

FOIA only applies to the gov't, not private companies.

I thought that was a federal thing... forcing government agencies to share what should be public info.

I have been reading of quite a few lawsuits lately filed in LA aimed at Forest River and a few other mfgrs by individuals under the Magnuson Moss act FWIW. They can get lists easily of who has registered what in an individual state.
How do we get the $12 discount coupon? Lol.

Class action
I have to agree with the GM of DYNAMAX, didn't take long to take care of that.
I joined a class action against HP years ago. I got a whole SD chip, lawyers
got tons of $$$$$.
So is it a waste of time, not if you are hard up for SD chips! LOL
I wasn't hard up for a chip, I just wanted to see what I would get.
Taught me a lesson. It was a waste of my time.

Now if the Lawyer send you letter from a Foreign land offering the estate of 4.5 million bitcoins for a small processing fee of $1,000 USD that would be interesting!!

Waste of Real Time
B & B, that would really be a waste of time, unless you are gullible!

Correct. I joined one against some questionable air fares years ago. We prevailed, and I got some vouchers worth $10 Or $20 each. Totaled maybe $150, but the attorneys got rich.
