looking for 12 V Water Pump

I'm in the market for a 12 V water pump to transfer water when replenishing the fresh water tank. My buddy says check around @ any RV shops & I might be able to pick up a used 1. Well before I hit the road, CW wants between 60 & a hundred bucks US for a variety of pumps.


I check a couple of shops today & the 1st 1 doesn't have any. I stop @ the 2nd shop & ask if they had any used ones. The guy said yes for 75 bucks. I said that's kind of steep for something I may only use once or twice a season (if I have to). He said well new ones are around 120 bucks.

I have another shop to check out tomorrow to see what they have. W/ the way the exchange rate is, I may as well buy a new 1 @ CW when I'm down to Indiana @ Labour Day.

Here's a place on ebay that has them for about $44 adn has 10 available. Don't know if you buy from ebay but it is an option to save a few bucks.

If you're just talking about an occasional transfer, would one of these drill pumps work?

I checked the Harbor Freight site & they have them for 40 bucks US. I can pick 1 up when I'm @ the races on the Labour day weekend.

Yes there is a Princess Auto in Whitby (next to Oshawa) but I don't make a habit of shopping there. Never can find what I'm looking for (which there supposed to have). I guess if I was a regular shopper I would know where everything was.
