looking for rv renting in Usa

So we are inquiring about maybe renting a nice Rv and tour around the states Are there reputable rv company's or dealers scattered around that can do this. I would like to get like a Newmar but realistically we will end up getting something smaller to drive around in smaller places.
Not sure all the details yet ( start or end points ) and or supports that will be needed to keep this Rig going anyways if you have comments let me know thanks.

Sounds like you're looking to rent a Motorhome. If so, are you planning on towing a toad? Or renting a car when you need one?

CruiseAmerica is one rental company.

KOA has a resource center here: RV Services and Information from KOA

In addition, some rv dealers have rentals. Around here it's consignment rv dealers that frequently offer that service. Of course, you have to consider what you'll do in case of a breakdown an a national company might give better service.

Better keep the motorhome size down then. You'll have to unhook everything just to go to the store or to go sightseeing.

1. Have you ever driven a large vehicle before?
2. Do you know the workings of an RV unit.
3. Some rental companies don’t allow towing another vehicle.
4. How many people in this travel adventure?
5. Not sure ANYONE rents a Newmar.
6. A Newmar or the like, is not tourist spot friendly due to size.

1.Yes i drive large commercial vehicles and buses
2. I have knowledge of some Rv not a expert but learning more everyday
3. Good to know
4. couple of us traveling
5. thanks for the information
6. I agree . it would be to have a nice coach but realistically we will get something smaller (this would be kind of a test drive this before deciding if to purchase a rig like this.) As there are allot of others that are just as good.

Cruise America have all sizes of class C's and we see them all over the highways mostly during tourist season. My wife and I have thought about renting one just to see if we want to bump up from our 5th wheel to a unit like this.
We were talking to a place in Tucson and they gave us a walk through and assured us that they have nation wide support 24/7.

We've talked to several people in those Cruise America rvs and many of them are from overseas. There is some type of 'all inclusive tour' where they get the class C, campground rental, and trip planning included. You even see them in National Parks where they are sightseeing using the National Park buses. Tourist areas usually have rental cars available if you need them. Just call ahead. Most campgrounds will tell you how to find alternative transportation.

We have a C and use it for almost all sightseeing. If we're returning to the same campground, we turn off the water, electric and cable and disconnect the connections to the rig itself. We leave a 'campground site occupied' on a plastic chair in the driveway and just take off. We've never lost any hoses we've left at the site, but it's not that hard to put up the connections before leaving. We don't hook up the sewer unless we're preparing to dump. That's the one connection we hate to take out and put up.

A tip for camping..... Stop on your way to the campsite to pick up any food and drink and other supplies that you'll need for the time you'll be in the campground. That way when you set up, you're home. We tend to camp in remote locations and driving to pick up supplies takes a lot of time that we'd rather avoid.

That could add up in a hurry - especially with that mileage restriction and the $50 dollar a day insurance premium.
Then again, Newmar's are pretty plush.

I recently noticed that ReserveAmerica now has a tab for rentals. Seems to be a peer to peer thing. When I searched for my son I was surprised at the number of available units and the pricing. He is in Orlando however.
